Home Helpers personalized services are given with the same dedicated support often provided by loved ones and family members. Home Helpers positively impacts the quality of our clients' lives by offering a comprehensive set of premium in-home services custom tailored to the needs of each individual, and delivered by caregivers and personal assistants who are competent and compassionate. We go beyond the delivery of basic services, striving to deliver a true "experience", caring for each client in a holistic manner by understanding their needs and interests and customizing a plan that is specific and unique to them.

We provide a full array of services according to the level of care you need, as well as your lifestyle and interests. And while there is a wide range of offerings to choose from, there are two distinguishing factors of our company that separates us from the rest. First, we never end a sentence with "no" when it comes to a special need. If Home Helpers can't provide the service, we will "go the extra mile" to find someone who can. Our job is not done until your needs have been met and you are completely satisfied.

The other distinguishing service that Home Helpers provides is customized care packages tailored to your needs. We use each package as a starting point to create the best possible customized solution for you and your loved ones. Here are some sample packages:

Everyday Joy

A companion to help you enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer

If you want to focus on your overall well-being and mental health, you can consider our Everyday Joy package. With this package, a Home Helpers companion will offer the warmth and caring of a true friend, seeking out enjoyable activities to enhance your daily life. These often include:

• Talking about kids, grandkids, or current events.
• Taking walks together
• Going to the local park or visiting the Arboretum with you
• Reading together
• Doing puzzles together
• Writing letters and emails with you
• Playing cards or other games
• Working on crafts or scrapbooks
• Shopping for gifts, clothes, or groceries together (and providing the transportation there and back)
• Organizing photos and other keepsakes
• Gardening together
• Visiting museums and attending concerts together (and providing the transportation there and back)
• Sharing and preparing meals

This package can be designed to add just a little companionship (3 hours on one day per week) up to six or eight hours each day.

The Run Around

A helper to get you to and from your appointments, shopping, and other outings safely, conveniently, and on time

The Run Around is a perfect fit for you if transportation is your biggest concern. We will provide you with transportation to appointments, social activities, or errands. We will take you anywhere (so long as it is legal)! We can take your car or ours, however you are most comfortable. These outings may include:

• Doctor and dentist appointments (we can take notes on what they tell you if you like)
• Hair salon/nail salon/barber shop
• Spa treatments
• Dry cleaning
• Drug store
• Grocery store
• Church, temple or other religious services
• Bridge group
• Clothing and shoe shopping (wouldn't it be nice to have a second opinion when you go?)

We will run errands for you as well (although we like to encourage you to go). Some examples include:

• Grocery shopping
• Pick up prescriptions and other drug store items
• Pick up or return movies and books
• Take and pick up dry cleaning
• Take your pictures for developing and enlargement
• Pick up items at department stores or return items that did not fit
• Deliver things to your family or friends
• Other shopping and errands

This package is offered to fit your schedule and your lifestyle. If transportation or errands are a concern for you, go for The Run Around.

A Helping Hand

Caregivers to meet the many varied needs you may have, including personal assistance, provided from just a few hours a week up to 24 hours per day, seven days per week

With a helping hand, you or a loved one may be able to continue to live independently and comfortably at home. At Home Helpers, we recognize that your independence and privacy are paramount. A Helping Hand caregiver may assist you by:

• Preparing healthy, homemade meals
• Helping you to bathe safely, even if you just want to have someone there "just in case"
• Doing your hair and makeup
• Sharing fun times gardening, watching old movies, or talking
• Reminding you about medication
• Assisting with toileting
• Helping with shaving and other grooming needs
• Maintaining a clean and comfortable home
• Providing transportation to appointments and other outings
• Ensuring your pet also receives the loving care he or she deserves
• Offering an ear to hear concerns
