Scott Sutherland – Owner

Servant-leader is a style that would best describe the passion and experience that Scott brings to a family owned business that can so positively impact the lives of the greatest generation. With over 25 years of corporate leadership and business management success, Scott’s mission is to manage the “business” functions at Home Helpers-Dallas. “My top priority is pulling together the best possible Care-Team to provide ‘Best Practices’ for all levels of the client experience”. In his career Scott has owned and operated a variety of businesses. “Home Helpers – Dallas, I consider to be the most personally rewarding business I’ve ever been lucky enough to be involved in….it’s not an easy business, but the independence and support we bring to our customers is very satisfying to the soul.”

Deborah Bilotta (Administrator)

Having a Grandmother that suffered with dementia is why Deborah chose a career in geriatric care. With 16 years of experience in a variety of roles -Certified Geriatric Care Manager, Agency Administrator, and a Registered Guardian – Deborah brings the tools needed to build an excellent business operation. Deborah oversees all State of Texas Dept. of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) compliancy issues related to the Personal Assistance Services (PAS) license #010569 Home Helpers must have in order to legally provide client services. Under Deborah’s watch on November 17, 2011 a state surveyor reviewed the Home Helpers – Dallas operation without a single deficiency. “This business is personal for me – quality assurance is the most important aspect of caring for seniors…it’s my mission to give our clients the dignity, respect and dependable service they deserve.”

Judy Tomlinson (Field Supervisor – Client Services)

With an educational background that includes Nursing and Social Services, I have over 20 years of extensive experience supporting administrative and field operations in a health care environment. Having served as a Client Care Manager, Field Supervisor, Geriatric Care Coordinator, and Assistant to a Geriatric Psychiatrist, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and information that has allowed me to pursue and promote my passion: a love of working with seniors and helping to ensure and enhance a better quality of life for them.

Being part of the Home Helpers team for almost five years has afforded me the opportunity to continue my work with seniors. The rewards from this work and making a positive difference in seniors’ lives are realized every day.

Melissa Burnett: (Administrative/Care Giver Hiring Manager)

Serving as a missionary in Honduras, Thailand and Africa – Melissa lead an effort to establish free treatment clinics for the elderly and orphaned. “I find serving people in their deepest need to be very rewarding.” –In the United States she has cared for her mother-in-law with “stage 4” cancer, and now her father-in-law, suffering with dementia, lives with her and her family. “I know first hand what families might be going thru – the need for care is often very urgent” – Working as an Office Administrator for a Nursing Services Agency extended Melissa’s expertise in HR and Scheduling as well as providing her with the needed experience in being able to identify great caregivers to match the needs of a diverse group of clients.
