About Our Owners

Home Helpers of Dallas

Home Helpers of Dallas is owned and operated by Anna Carlton and her father, Jerry Carlton. We personally have seen and lived the challenges of caring for family members experiencing the challenges of aging, disease, injury and disability. We have helped family members dealing with Alzheimer's, heart attacks, brain tumors, cancer, and a life threatening accident requiring multiple surgeries, hospital stays and extended recovery time. Based upon our own experiences as caregivers and as supportive friends and family members, we started Home Helpers of Dallas to offer loving support to families in our area who face similar challenges. Every day, we work for Home Helpers of Dallas to offer the high level of service you and your family deserve.

Anna brings the enthusiasm and energy of a young entrepreneur, enhanced by her prior business experience working for a large public company.  A Dallas native, Anna works to improve the lives of senior adults in the Dallas community through involvement in philanthropic organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association. Anna is also a board member and programs chairman of the Dallas Area Gerontological Society (DAGS).  She is also an active member of the Junior League of Dallas. She serves as an advisor to young women at the University of Texas at Dallas and Southern Methodist University.  In her spare time, she supports the University of Kansas Jayhawks dominating basketball team (Rock Chalk!).

Jerry Carlton is an attorney who has represented and advised small and large business clients in a variety of business legal issues for over 25 years. He is with the Dallas law firm of Glast, Phillips & Murray, P.C. Jerry also has served the community as a long time member of the Dallas Academy board of trustees, a stellar school near White Rock Lake dedicated to students with learning differences. He has coached his own children and many others in baseball and softball for many years. As a University of Texas at Austin alum, Jerry avidly follows Longhorn sports. Watch for Jerry at Rangers' games - he'll be sitting right above the visiting team!
